The Art Deco movement knew no international borders. To celebrate Art Deco around the world, the International Coalition of Art Deco Societies (ICADS) holds a World Congress on Art Deco every other year. In May 2017 the Congress returns to the U.S. after several years abroad, and offers an opportunity to experience Cleveland, Cincinnati, Detroit and Pittsburgh.

The Congresses are an opportunity to fully explore the host city's architecture, craftspeople and Art Deco era heritage with tours, lectures and social events with fellow Art Deco aficionados from all over the world!

Congress organizer, Mick Beyer, President of Cleveland's 20th Century Society, will be in L.A. on February 18th to give a presentation and answer questions about the upcoming World Congress. The presentation will last 70 - 80 minutes.

The session is free and open to all Art Deco Society of Los Angeles members and one guest with RSVP. Members planning to attend the Congress are especially encourage to attend, but all are welcome to learn more about World Congresses at this event. You may come just to enjoy the talk on Cleveland, and leave deciding to attend the Congress in May!!

The Congress is May 14-21, 2917.
