Illustrated presentation with L.A.'s Legendary Restaurants & Screening of A STAR IS BORN
Presented by the American Cinematheque and the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles
Join us for an illustrated presentation by chef George Geary on classic Los Angeles restaurants – some still a part of the Los Angeles culinary scene, some only fond memories. Geary traces the cultural history (and recipes) of dining in Los Angeles through legendary restaurants, including elite eateries like Scandia, celebrity haunts such as the Brown Derby and later Ma Maison, and Hollywood Boulevard’s own hot fudge legend, ice cream parlor C.C. Brown’s.
Feature follows at 3:15 PM.
Chef George Geary will sign his book, L.A.’s Legendary Restaurants, in the lobby at intermission. Larry Edmunds Book Shop will sell the book.
