Please join the ADSLA for Cocktails in Historic Places® on the patio of the River Rock Restaurant in the Sportsmen’s Lodge Event Center on Friday, June 23rd from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The Sportsmen’s Lodge has been a beloved Valley institution since the 1930s. Starting out as a modest roadside fishing attraction, it grew into a sprawling resort complex where iconic movie stars such as Clark Gable, Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Bette Davis, and John Wayne could be spotted tossing back a few drinks, or teaching their children to fish from the Sportsmen’s well-stocked trout ponds.

While the fishing ponds are no more, the property still has scenic gardens and a lake, next to which you’ll find the River Rock. Featuring a retro, lodge-like interior with red vinyl booths and a fireplace lounge, the restaurant offers a classic American menu and happy hour specials between 5 and 7 p.m.

Come straight from work, or slip into something more Deco—either way, come join us! Cocktails in Historic Places® is open to members and non-members alike and reservations are not required, but an RSVP on the Facebook page helps us get a head count (and sends an event reminder).

The River Rock Bar & Restaurant is located inside the Sportsmen’s Lodge, at 12833 Ventura Boulevard, Studio City. There is a parking lot with valet service on site as well as street parking.

Update on Parking as of 5/24: Venue only does valet parking when they have high occupancy. As of right now, the evening scheduled is for self-parking and is complimentary. In the event that there is that the venue has high occupancy, valet parking is required at $10 per car.

We look forward to seeing you!
